Jensen Viperceptor
The thought and consideration that has gone into this one off extraordinary Interceptor is immediately noticeable when you’re behind the wheel. The astonishingly balanced chassis and responsive driver feedback makes sure you’ll feel right at home. Of course the real joy of the Viperceptor is that, every drive is something special, and every time you step into the cockpit you know you’re driving the ultimate expression of what a modern Interceptor may have been like.
Oozing with style
The deeper sills and valances effortlessly increase the more muscular look of the body and help enhance the feeling of connection with the road and also stabilizes the body even more. The rear center console drops into the interior creating a ‘waterfall’ console, following the sleek external body lines. The interior is reminiscent to the original combining pure driving performance with modern styling and luxury. It is pure Jensen Interceptor right down to the subtle redesigned dashboard.
To keep the smooth lines flowing inside the interior, the handbrake lever has been completely concealed. The wheel track has been increased and the wheel arch width extended and flared, keeping with the muscular lines of the adapted body. The 20″ wheels have been expertly made to compliment the visual styling, road holding and grip. Every detail, from the redesigned center console right down to the badges and fuel filler cap have been designed especially for the Viperceptor.
It's what's inside that counts
Underneath all the exterior lies the heart of the Viperceptor – the Dodge Viper 8.3 litre engine matched to a 4 speed gearbox and independent suspension. At just under 1270kgs and 535 lb·ft of torque, the power delivery is outstanding, the handling well defined and direct. The adapted body is firm and poised, and you have the confidence of tried and tested 21st century engineering keeping everything in balance. The concept was to deliver something extraordinary, a breathtaking piece of motoring art that also delivers a very unique driving experience.
